Hamburger Salad

Its grilling season and everyone asks me how to stay on track at BBQs or Picnics! Make a burger salad!

What you need:

  • 4oz hamburger or turkey burger or chicken patty
  • Lettus
  • Tomatoe
  • Cucumber
  • Onion
  • Reduced sugar ketchup and Mustard

Combine it all on a large plate and call it a Day! Not only is this meal filling but is high in lean protein – low in carb and if you wish to add a healthy fat to it- chop up a fresh avocado!!! For kids you can serve the burger traditional style with a whole wheat but or a side of sweet potato fries!
